Device Procedure
Students must have devices turned off and placed in their backpack when they enter the building, 7:30 am - 3:35 pm. Devices include, but are not limited to, cell phones, smartwatches, personal technology, and bluetooth headphones. If a student is found in violation of this policy for any amount of time during the school day, the following consequences will occur.
1st & 2nd Incident:
- A code of conduct referral is issued.
- Device is taken to the office and must be picked up by a parent at the end of the day (between 3:00-4:00).
3rd Incident:
- A code of conduct referral is issued.
- Device is taken to the office and must be picked up by a parent at the end of the day (between 3:00-4:00).
- The student will be assigned a 30 minute detention.
4th incident and subsequent incidents:
- A code of conduct referral is issued.
- Device is taken to the office and must be picked up by a parent at the end of the day (between 3:00-4:00).
Disciplinary action will be assigned which may include detention, ISS, OSS or other action permitted by the student code of conduct.
