Campus Policies

 

Device Procedure

Students must have devices turned off and placed in their backpack when they enter the building, 7:30 am - 3:35 pm. Devices include, but are not limited to, cell phones, smartwatches, personal technology, and bluetooth headphones. If a student is found in violation of this policy for any amount of time during the school day, the following consequences will occur.

1st & 2nd Incident: 

• A code of conduct referral is issued.
• Device is taken to the office and must be picked up by a parent at the end of the day (between 3:00-4:00).

3rd Incident: 

• A code of conduct referral is issued.
• Device is taken to the office and must be picked up by a parent at the end of the day (between 3:00-4:00).
• The student will be assigned a 30 minute detention.

4th incident and subsequent incidents:

• A code of conduct referral is issued.
• Device is taken to the office and must be picked up by a parent at the end of the day (between 3:00-4:00).

Disciplinary action will be assigned which may include detention, ISS, OSS or other action permitted by the student code of conduct.

 

Student ID Procedure

 

Students are required to wear student IDs.  At the beginning of the school year, each student will receive one free ID.  Replacement IDs will be provided at a cost of $5.

Lost ID:

• New ID provided
• Students pay a $5 fee
• Parent Contact

 

3 X Missing ID:

• Each replacement ID will cost $5.  On a student’s 3rd missing ID, disciplinary actions could be assigned by administration. 
• Parent Conference

 

School Events

• School events like games, performances, dances and in school reward activities will require students attending to have their ID.

CFBISD & Barbara Bush Middle School are excited to announce that we are now equipped with one HP Chromebook  for every BBMS Bronco Student!

In an effort to best prepare students for their paths ahead and grow their 21st century skills, each one of our students will have access to their dedicated HP Chromebook at school.

We used to checkout textbooks, but now we will be issuing Chromebooks!

To ensure all are informed of the program and rollout, we are asking all parents/guardians to review and sign the attached Chromebook Agreement.  Please sign and have your Bronco return it to their Advisory Teacher.
