Student IDs
STUDENT ID PROCEDURES
ALL students are requried to wear student IDs and keep IDs visible at all times. We recommend a lanyard to easily put on. This should be on the outside of clothing. If students use a clip to wear their ID, it should be clipped above the waist for visibility.
At the beginning of the school year, each student will receive one free ID. Replacement IDs can be purchased for $5 via cash in the main office or on RevTrak.
- LOST ID:
- New ID provided
- Students pay a $5 fee
- Parent is contacted
- If a student is without an ID three times:
- Each replacement ID will cost $5. On the student's 3rd missing ID, disciplinary actions may be assigned by administration.
- Parent Conference
- SCHOOL EVENTS:
- School events like games, performances, dances, and in-school reward activities require students to have their IDs out and on.
BUS IDs
BUS ID PROCEDURES
All students that ride CFB transportation MUST have a Bus ID. If students do not have a bus ID they will not be allowed on the bus home and will have to find alternative transportation.
Students are provided their first bus ID at no fee to them. However, if a student loses their bus ID they must purchase a replacement for $5. Damage such as cracking, missing corners, etc. will require a replacement Bus ID purchase as these badges are chipped to work with our transportation tracking system.
Replacements can purchased in the main office with cash or online via RevTrak.
Tardies
BBMS TARDY PROCEDURES
All BBMS students should arrive on-time to classes and ready to learn as crucial instructions and information are delivered in those first few minutes of class. Students are expected to use passing period time wisely and demonstrate personal responsibility to ensure they are in class before the tardy bell. Students in the hallways after the tardy bell will receive a tardy pass and their teacher will mark them tardy in the campus attendance system.
Multiple tardies will result in tiered consequences as outlined below. Tardy totals reset at the start of each new nine-weeks.
3 Tardies
- Lunch Detention will be assigned and must be served within one week
6 Tardies
- Double Lunch Detention will be assigned and must be served within one week
11 Tardies
- 30 minute After School Detention will be assigned and must be served within one week. These detentions are held on Thursdays after school.
15 Tardies
- 60 minute After School Detention will be assigned and must be served within one week. These detentions are held on Thursdays after school.
18+ Tardies
- A conference with the student, parent and administrator is required. Students will walk through their schedule with their parent. Students will lose eligibility to attend events like games, performances, field trips, etc. They will also continue to serve lunch detention for the remainder of the nine-weeks.
Students must serve tardy consequences by the end of the nine-weeks. Unserved consequences can result in further discplinary action such as additional lunch detentions or loss of eligibility to attend games, performances etc.
*Please note, all consequences are subject to administration discretion.*
Hallways
HALLWAY PROCEDURES
Student safety is of utmost importance to us at BBMS and also ensuring that you student is in class receiving instruction. This comes with knowing where students are and using hallway priviledges responsibly.
Students are able to use restrooms during passing periods and lunch periods. When students leave the classroom for water, the restroom, office, library visits etc. these are limited to the after the first 10 minutes of the instructional period and before the last 10 minutes of the class period to avoid missing critical instructions or lesson wrap-up/clarifications.
To leave the classroom, students must create a pass in our digital pass system, "Pass Portal". When they return to class they must also close out their digital pass. Students are permitted to go to the below destinations for their designated length of time.
- Restroom/Water - 5 minutes
- Main Office - 5 minutes
- Library - 15 minutes
- Nurse
- Counselor or Student Services: Students may request visits to the counseling office and to student services. A counselor or administrator will come and pick-up the student when they are ready to see them.
Students who are found to be repeatedly and unreasonably over their alotted pass time will have parents contacted and adminstrative intervention, as needed.
*Please note, all consequences are subject to administrative discretion.*
We also expect students to LEAD THE STAMPEDE while in the hallways. This looks like the list below. You may even hear your student mention these lines at home!
- "Walking Feet" - moving with purpose
- "Hands Free" - not touching others in the hallway
- "NFL" - no foul language should be used at school
- "Catch and Release" - say hi or high five your friend and move along
- "Walk and Talk" - we are not loitering in the hallway
